our 2020 vision

Loving Well

The call of Christ is to build our lives on His Love. Our vision for this year is “Loving Well.” Loving God well, loving each other well, and loving our neighborhood and city well. We want that to become the filter through which we approach our lives as a community. We long to see God’s Kingdom come and His will to be done.

Discovering how we are loved

If we want to love well, we need to know how we are loved. Not with the fleeting love of our world and society, but with the supernatural Love of God, which is always pursuing us and is always loving in ways we can’t even comprehend. We need to build our lives on this love. We need to place high priority on experiencing the Love of God.

Doing life together

We aren’t made to do life alone. From Sunday morning, to mid-week life groups, special trainings and conferences, serving others, and just doing life together – we believe that we are better together, and the life of following Jesus is more than an event. We believe it’s intentionally coming together in the rhythms and stuff of life – learning how to support one another as we follow Christ.

Taking risks

John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard Movement, once said, “Faith is spelled R-I-S-K.” As we ‘press in’ to being a community that loves well, we want to be a family that encourages one another to share the Love of God in any and every way that we can. It means being prayerfully and courageously innovative in the ways that we share the love and message of Christ.

"The test of spiritual maturity is not the ability to speak in tongues, prophesy, or memorize Scripture. It’s the ability to love God and others. Learning to serve others by loving the unlovely, the less fortunate, the lost, and the broken. This is the highest call, that we would fulfill our purpose on earth.”

-John Wimber

Loving well.

As our community has been pressing in to Loving Well this year, we are intentionally inviting God to do what He wants to do in us, so that He can do what He wants to do through us.

This vision is a topic that we will be revisiting and walking out throughout the year.
