Coffee

WITH A CAUSE

The coffee that we drink at the Vineyard Sunday Gatherings is from SingingRooster: a social enterprise non-profit. Established in 2009, they are a member of the Fair Trade Federation, but they are more than Fair Trade. They partner commercially with small-holder producers to alleviate poverty in Haiti by building stronger businesses.

Farmers are paid a MINIMUM of $3 per pound for crops; SingingRooster returns another 50 cents after crops sell for continued business development. The remainder of Singing Rooster's costs - 34% - pays for export/import, transport to roastery, warehousing, roasting, bagging, and shipping coffee.

Reforest Haiti

Help to Plant Income-Providing Coffee Trees

In addition to enjoying Haitian coffee, you can also help us support sustainability for Haitian farms. The mason jar in the coffee area is to collect donations so that when we make our coffee order, we can also help to buy coffee seedlings to support farms in Haiti. Every cent helps!

Coffee and Cacao seedlings provide farmers with valuable income AND promote reforestation in a country with less than 5% coverage.
$5 will plant 20 coffee or cacao seedlings
$10 will plant 40 coffee or cacao seedlings
$25 will plant 100 coffee or cacao seedlings
$100 will plant 400 coffee or cacao seedlins
