Rhythms of Grace

The Rhythms of Grace Community  is an intentional community of people, longing to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. It is centered around soul-care and a basic rhythm of life.

A simple rhythm of walking together

In the Message, author Eugene Peterson paraphrases Matthew 11:28-30 to read, "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly." That is the heart of the ROG Community: to be apprentices of Jesus who are learning the unforced rhythms of grace.

The ROG Community is a collective of people who use the Lectio 365 app as a daily rhythm of life.

The first Monday of the month, we get together at 5 pm (Arizona time) via Zoom, to connect and share what the Lord is doing in our hearts and lives through connecting with the Lectio 365 app.

Quiet Days

Quiet Days is a time we set aside each month for guided contemplative prayer for our local church and our neighboring communities. One Saturday a month, from 8 am – 10 am, we gather to reflect upon our hearts in the presence of God, silence our thoughts to hear God’s voice, and still ourselves that we may “know God” (Ps. 46:10). No previous experience in contemplative prayer is needed to join others for this time of looking into the face of God and allowing ourselves to be seen by Him.

Special Conversations

We also have special conversations from time to time (via Zoom) on our life with God and soul care, where we invite special guests to join us.
